The Art Stop LLC was in Webster NY for 13 years, from May 2003 to Memorial weekend of 2016. We purchased the property at the four corners of Penfield, 1822 Penfield Road, it was the old Masonic Temple, the Masons were meeting there up until we purchased the building. Many improvements have been made and many still need to be made! To move our business over, we had to do renovations to the shops on the 1st floor. We had original floors exposed, when possible and the original ceilings exposed. We painted and took out a wall that was between columns and found an old stamped tin wall inside the wall, in the process! We also closed the doorway to the East unit and currently rent it out to Whitman Works Gallery, it’s wonderful to have another gallery in the neighborhood. Highland builder did all the interior work, they were phenomenal!
The next summer had to replace the AC upstairs (very expensive) ouch!
Currently we are having the buildings trim painted. It is coming along beautifully, thanks to Falcon Renovations, they are doing a fantastic job, despite the horrible weather!
